I made a “film of the heart” for Core Essence Inc. The companyholds the vision “A world where no one is denied, and everyone can shine,”and runs the “School of the Heart,” a place of learning that faces the essence of the heart.
There is one thing I believe in, without wavering, when I make films: that film affirms people. Thinking of those who asked me, and for the people I can see behind them, I take as much time as I can to report carefully and make something rich. Before long, the film becomes a person, walks out and reaches others.
I went all the way to Niseko, Hokkaido, and recorded the words and atmosphere of the course, taking them in with all five senses. It is a film that gently reveals, beyond words, the core essence that the person and the organization truly value.
Since April 2025, the “School of the Heart” has continued as Core Essence, “the School of Life.” The course has sent out more than 700 graduates in four cities: Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo and Okinawa. The film was used on the landing page, and people wrote, “This is the course I was looking for,” and “I finally met the person I'd been searching for.” I also handled the photography.

Following the film two years earlier, they trusted me again. I went to the course in Niseko, Hokkaido, and put on film its core: “setting the foundation of the heart, and learning about the heart.” Two years earlier, I had struggled to reach what I wanted to convey. This time, I can say with pride that I gave it my best.
