Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, Chiang Mai — A conservation documentary
Two weeks in the field with elephants living between tourism and conservation.2023.11 | Wildlife conservation / Documentary

Overview
In November 2023, we were commissioned by Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and spent two weeks in the field, learning in depth about elephant protection and the conservation work on the ground. The project was a documentary film aimed at protecting elephants and raising awareness of wildlife conservation.
Purpose
The film sets out to show, visually, the conservation work of Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and why protecting elephants matters. Alongside the threat of extinction facing wild elephants and the environmental issues around them, it shows how the sanctuary gives the elephants a safe habitat and how it builds relationships with the local community. We hope viewers come away understanding where elephant conservation stands today — and with a greater interest in supporting it.
Audience
The film is for everyone who cares about animal protection — especially travelers interested in ecotourism, animal-welfare organizations, and students of nature conservation. Staying close to the viewer, we aimed for an emotionally resonant film that makes the elephants’ challenges, and the sanctuary’s answers to them, easy to understand.
