Izuyoshi Co., Ltd. | ZIZAIZ brand design
2024.01 | Brand design
I designed the brand ZIZAIZ for Izuyoshi Co., Ltd. A project of thinking together, from the roots, about who to reach, with what, and how.
What it means to design a brand
Down to the presentation, the titles and every single word. Through repeated conversations, I designed a form that would go straight to the hearts of the people they wanted to reach. Tidying up the surface design alone does not make a brand come across. What value does the business truly hold dear, and who does it want to help? We dug up the core essence together and built it up through both words and visuals.
Talking it through, again and again
Interviews beforehand and several meetings. Not rushing to give it shape, but talking until everyone is satisfied. That is why the result becomes not “this isn't what I imagined” but “this is what I've wanted all along.” The client is always the star of the brand. I aimed for a design that lets their feelings come through naturally.
ZIZAIZ is a D2C brand launched by Izuyoshi Co., Ltd., a trading company specializing in apparel accessories, founded in 1934. With the concept “Connecting feelings, freely,” it offers original goods in small lots with short lead times, from towels and apparel to key rings and cups made from coffee grounds.

Makuake page and representative's portrait
Landing page and photography
I made the Makuake page for a dope-dyed black T-shirt that resists fading to the extreme. From its three features, the dope-dyeing technology, 99.5 percent UV protection and third-party testing, to sizes and rewards, it went through six rounds of proofreading. I also photographed the company's representative. In August 2026, the black T-shirt was featured in ROOMIE, Lifehacker and Gizmodo.
