Offering deep gratitude for the blessings of life, honoring a Japanese culture handed down over thousands of years, and showing courtesy with all one’s heart. The film “Blessings of Life, Courtesy of the Heart” was made with Miwa Suzuki, proprietress of Kisouan, and premiered at a screening in September 2024.

Out of Miwa’s wish that people overseas, too, could come to know Japanese culture, the DVD includes two versions — with Japanese and with English subtitles. A trailer is also available.

To Miwa, with heartfelt gratitude and prayer

Miwa was later called home to heaven. In her lifetime she often said, “I am a fortunate person.” That feeling lives on, unfading, in this film and in the Japanese culture that continues to be handed down. I hope that through this film, the gratitude for life that Miwa held so dear reaches many more people.

Client’s Voice

“You should sit up straight to watch this,” one viewer’s family said.

He dug deeper into what we had asked for and came back with even better proposals. I could feel his determination to “make something good,” and it deepened my own resolve.
I could feel so many feelings within the film, and it made me proud of my own work all over again. One viewer’s family apparently told them, “You should sit up straight to watch this.”
